F.F.B. Prepares National Football Team for CONCACAF Games
The CONCAFAC Games are about a month away and the National Team is in camp training for the event. Today, Football Federation of Belize National Team Director, Ian Jones told News Five that Belize has some very good players to put us in the spotlight.
Ian Jones, National Team Director, F.F.B.
“Ninety percent of our players come from the F.F.B. top league or the premier league in Belize and they have just concluded a very high intensity season, a very competitive season so all the players have come in to camp in optimal position. Then we have our foreign-based players who all are playing at very high levels. With two of these teams that we are going to play in this round, despite them having professional players from all over the world, we’ve defeated both of them in the past. We defeated both the Dominican Republic and French Guyana in the past. Our toughest match in this group would be Guatemala and if you look at our statistics, despite them being – or having more professional clubs, when you meet Guatemala, you know you’re playing for country.”
