P.M. leads landmark trip to Cuba
Prime Minister Said Musa heads a delegation of government officials which will make a two-day visit to Cuba next week. The delegation will meet with President Fidel Castro and Foreign Minister Roberto Robaina. According to the Government Press Office, Belize hopes to sign agreements for cooperation in education, culture and public service, tourism, education and sports and housing. Musa will be joined by Minister of Economic Development Ralph Fonseca, Minister of Education and Sports Cordel Hyde, Minister of Tourism Mark Espat, Minister of Rural Development and Culture Marcial Mes and Minister of Housing and Attorney General Richard Bradley. Prime Minister Musa will present Castro with the Order of Belize during the official visit. Members of the business community and the Belizean press will accompany the delegation to Cuba. They leave on Sunday. News Five will be providing reports from Havana during the visit.
