District Education Center opens in Corozal
The Prime Minister Said Musa was in northern Belize yesterday and opened the Corozal District Education Center. The Prime Minister commented that decentralizing the educational system will allow it to better respond to the social and economic needs of each region of the country. The center was funded by the Government of Belize, the World Bank and the British Overseas Developmental Organization, BESO, and was constructed at a cost of over three hundred thousand dollars. The center is equipped with computers that will allow staff to develop a database of information on Corozal schools.
