Former Minister Montero to Hand Himself Over to Police in July

Former U.D.P. Minister Rene Montero is still wanted by police on a single charge of Willful Oppression. Police have been seeking his whereabouts for the past seven months.  And, tonight we can tell you that his attorney has made a commitment to police that he will turn himself in as soon as he returns to the country. According to the Commissioner of Police, Montero is expected to arrive in the country in July.

“Well we are counting on the undertaking given by the attorney for Mr. Montero and we are hoping that in fact when he returns to the country, I was given a time line, we have not reached that timeline as yet, but I am almost confident that once we reach that timeline the attorneys are going to bring him in, so we will wait for that.”
