Prison escapee recaptured
A quick response by prison authorities, the Hattieville police and residents of Burrell Boom, is responsible for the recapture of twenty-two year old Tito Augustine, alias “John Hyde.” Augustine, who is serving a six year sentence for attempted burglary and damage to property, escaped from Hattieville Prison around one Sunday afternoon while he was cleaning the compound yard. According to Bernard Adolphus, Superintendent of Prisons, Augustine, who is not considered dangerous, climbed over the wall on the north section of the facility and then made his way through the bushes in the direction of Burrell Boom. Today, after being on the run for less than a day, Augustine is back safely behind bars. Adolphus told News Five the inmate was captured while he was seen walking on the roadside near Boom. Augustine, who was due to be released on March third in the year two thousand, will not only be spending extra time in jail but lose all his prison privileges while incarcerated.
