No new leads in taxi murders

Story Picture
Police are declining to comment on the status of their investigation into the murder of twenty-five year old taxi driver Frederick Neal and his brother twenty-six year old Vincent Jones this weekend. The two were shot to death in their taxi which was parked just off the Northern Highway between miles seven and eight. The bodies were discovered on Saturday morning. Police told News Five this evening the investigation is in their words, “very confidential” and that they have no leads at this time. Yesterday we were told that a suspect had been detained, but it is not clear whether he is still in custody. Frederick Neal had been a suspect in the killing of 15 year old Samantha Gordon whose body was found near the sea in Vista Del Mar area late last year. Vincent Jones was scheduled to appear in court next month to answer charges he assaulted Samantha’s brother, Mark Gordon. So far police have refrained from commenting on widespread speculation that this may have been a revenge killing, or related to a drug deal gone wrong.
