Will Forest Officer Daniel Chi Be Dismissed for Insubordination?
Remember Daniel Chi who was suspended, placed on administrative leave, because he was purportedly rude to Prime Minister John Briceño? Well tonight, we have confirmed that his file is with the Ministry of Public Service and the Public Service Commission where a recommendation has been made for his dismissal as a public officer for insubordination. The forestry officer was called by the P.M. to facilitate a plant importer who had a BAHA permit to bring in products, but resisted because he said he detected plants that may pose potential dangers to other plant varieties in Belize. C.E.O. Doctor Kenrick Williams, under whose ministry Chi works, gave a status update to the media.

“So the P.S.U. upon learning of this will definitely criticize the government of again political victimization. That unu just di do this to attack the man.”
Dr. Kenrick Williams
“Okay, and like I always say it is the right of the P.S.U. to do that. They have a mandate and so it is their right to do that and I respect that.”
