Woman reports rape at hospital

A woman has reported that she was raped at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital on Friday. Police say Roberto Valdez reportedly went to the hospital around ten a.m. for treatment for head injuries and met a young woman from Punta Gorda. It is alleged that Valdez told her that her cousin wanted to see her outside and she followed him. She told police that as they walked through the hospital he began making advances. She says they ended up on the roof where she says he forced her to have intercourse. Police say she immediately reported the matter and they arrested Valdez. A medical examination, according to police certified that she had been sexually abused. Valdez is reported to have lied to police saying that he was a B.D.F. soldier named Zetina.
