Siew meets with Cabinet

Prime Minister Siew and his delegation arrived in Belmopan just before four this evening. His Excellency Siew paid a courtesy call on the Governor General of Belize, His Excellency Sir Colville Young at the Belize House. The Governor General presented The Prime Minister of Republic of China on Taiwan with the award Member of the Order of Distinction. An equal award was given to the Taiwanese foreign minister, Mister Chee Chan Hoo. The G.G. also presented gifts to his distinguished guests. Following the presentation at the Belize House Prime Minister Siew and his delegation then arrived at the Administration Building where they were introduced to the members of the Belize Cabinet. Following a short photo session, Prime Minister Siew along with his ministers and Belize’s Cabinet held a private meeting and were then taken on a tour of projects in Belmopan funded by Taiwan. After the tour the delegation then headed back to Belize City. Tonight at seven thirty, Prime Minister Siew and Mrs. Siew along with the other visiting delegation will attend a reception hosted by the Ambassador of the Republic of China at the Fiesta Inn.
