“We believe, like you rightfully said: one, the vehicle was traveling without headlights. Two: they had hooded jackets and the warm caps. We know that these are items usually used when going to do, like you said, either a drive-by shooting or a robbery. We believe that the alert and quick work of the police from the Precinct One area, as well as the GI3 personnel that were not too far away may have actually saved some lives on Saturday. So we just want to commend these officers for the work well done. We know that we are still seeking two more persons because it was actually, the occupants that fled the vehicle were five. Police managed to use non-lethal weapons to stop them and to, they tried to deter by running into the club. When police went into the club, Flowers was pretending to mop behind the bar area. He had a mop in his hand and Middleton was found in the DJ booth, but because police had a good look at them when they exited the vehicle, they were apprehended immediately. I know that Leslie, it looks like the non-lethal weapons, because they do leave bruising and cause pain, he couldn’t take the pain anymore and he came out of hiding where he was immediately apprehended because, like I said, we had a very good description of everyone that exited that vehicle.”
