Ya’axché Holds Bioblitz To Identify Different Types of Animals and Trees
The Ya’axché Conservation Trust held its annual Bioblitz over the weekend in southern Belize with special focus on bees, birds, mammals, macro-inverts, and trees. The non-profit organization chose the theme: Empowering Communities, Conserving Biodiversity, Connecting the World for the two-day exercise. Described as a worldwide event, it featured sixty-eight youths from five communities who spent a twenty-four-hour period finding and identifying different types of these animals and trees. The following is a clip that the organization released.
