“What happened is that yesterday after having a short interview with the fellow Steven Terry, he took the police to an address on Welch Street where we apprehended this fifteen year old minor. We didn’t find any items with him but in a short interview with him, in the presence of his mother, he admitted that yes, he was with Terry when these two incidents on Central American Boulevard were committed the twenty-sixth.”
In related news, Alvarez says as a result of News Five’s coverage yesterday of Terry’s arrest, a viewer Owen Thompson recognized the young man as the same individual who held him up at gun point in front of Mando’s Store on Central American Boulevard. Thompson reported that Terry then stole his bicycle and rode off. When Thompson visited the police station this morning to make his report, he recognized his bike as the one police had taken away from Terry when they apprehended him on the night of December twenty-sixth.
