Prisoner hangs himself in P.G. jail
And a late report from Punta Gorda indicates that a prisoner in the town’s jail has committed suicide. Twenty-three year old Jerry Ash, who had been arrested in Punta Gorda on Christmas for a robbery committed in Dangriga, was found yesterday in his cell hanging from the neck. It is believed that a lacing from his tennis shoe was used to effect the suicide. Ash, of San Pedro Columbia, was slated to be taken to Dangriga today.
