Paul Jex Jr. is Convicted of Rape
Twenty-six-year-old Paul Jex Junior has been found guilty of rape, following a verdict handed down by the Supreme Court. This is in respect of an incident that occurred in December 2015 where the wife of a watchman was sexually assaulted in front of her one-year-old child. Jex was among a group of seven men who entered the residence of a well-known businessman in Burrell Boom and stole a cache of weapons, as well as household items. The men reportedly held the watchman, his twenty-one-year-old wife and their two young children at gunpoint. The homeowner, however, was not at home at the time of the aggravated burglary. At the trial, the prosecution call on forensic D.N.A. analyst to testify virtually from the United States where she told the court under oath that an analysis revealed that the D.N.A. retrieved from a towel on the scene belonged to Paul Jex Jr. Tonight, Paul Jex is sitting behind a prison wall where he is awaiting sentencing. That date has been set for July twenty-eighth before Justice Ricardo O’Neil Sandcroft.
