Man believed responsible for murder/arson dies
A second person has died as a result of a fire on Tibruce Street on Sunday night. Police tell News Five that George Joseph died this morning at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital of his injuries. His common law wife Isolene Garcia was killed in the fire which began around nine thirty p.m. Police and fire officials say they now believe the fire was deliberately set. Fire officials told News Five today that they have found absolutely no evidence that there was faulty electrical wiring in the home. Police have also confirmed that because of reports from neighbors that they had heard what sounded like objects being thrown against the walls and an argument between Garcia and Joseph, they are considering this to be a case of murder and arson. Eyewitnesses told News Five at the scene the next day that they had heard calls for help from the burning structure but were unable to assist Isolene Garcia who was trapped inside. George Joseph managed to get out but his clothing was on fire.
