3 Cops from San Pedro on Trial for Manslaughter in Death of Edwin Ixpatec

In the wee hours of March fourteenth, 2016, Edwin Ixpatac was beaten to death while in police custody in San Pedro Town.  In the wake of the incident, three police officers: PCs Reydel Teck, Jahsimir Cob and Romelio Logan were charged with murder. Today, the trio appeared before Justice Ricardo Sandcroft in a trial by judge without jury.  Representing the D.P.P.’s office was Riis Cattouse, while the three cops are being represented by attorney Oscar Selgado. The trial began on Monday and today, six witness statements were read into evidence. The trial will continue on Monday, July twenty-sixth, 2022.  Logan, Cob and Teck are on interdiction, but out on bail for manslaughter.
