Family says police invaded their home without permission
She may have turned forty-three years old today, but when Estell Bood visited our station, Bood was not in the mood to celebrate her birthday. According to the irate resident of Ebony Street, shortly before seven Sunday evening, three policemen pulled up outside her house while one identified by neighbors as “Benguche” forced himself into the house and started searching the building without telling the family what was going on. Bood says what made her upset is that she had just taken a bath and was partially nude when the police burst into the room.

“I just came out of my bathroom, put on my blouse, put on my underwear and sitting on the bed half naked. Then police burst into my home, first the kitchen, the dining room and then the hall where my husband and my kids were sitting down watching TV”
Q: “When they came to your house, did they knock on the door? Did they identify themselves? Did the police tell you what they were looking for?
Estell Bood
“No, I was just drying my skin, putting on my clothes. Nobody knock, nowhere. My husband and my kids were in the living room. Push my room door open, unidentified and peep into my room. I tell him, sir, you can’t come in here because I am half naked on my bed. Can’t you see? He say I come look for somebody and I intend to do my job. I say you can’t come in here, you no see how I stay, I am half naked, cause his head was already in the room already, right. Instead of he stop and wait, he still continue to come into the room and gone to the back in my children room and gone look into the bathroom, them come back and gone and still no give me his name.”
According to Bood, her daughter was being sought by police in connection with an alleged stolen bicycle frame. When we called the police this afternoon, we were told that they are not aware of the incident that occurred at Bood’s residence and they would be investigating the matter.
