Pediatric Vaccines Expiring; Education Minister Not Worried
Pediatric vaccines for children ages five to eleven will be expiring in the next few months and the data shows that of that population, only five thousand, six hundred and twenty-six or seven point six percent have received two doses. While with Minister Fonseca, he was asked if there were any concerns since schools will be reopening within a month.
Francis Fonseca, Minister of Education
“I think the ministry of health has indicated that they are trying to get additional vaccines and additional supply of vaccines. So I think that’s all ongoing discussion so I am confident come the new school year, we will be in a position to rollout a vaccination program to try and get as many of those young people in that age group vaccinated.”
