Reef exhibit travels to capital
After the success of the International Bilingual Coral Reef Exhibition in Belize City, the Belize Audubon Society is moving the display to Belmopan. The exhibition, which has as its primary goal to educate the public about threatened marine eco-systems, depicts threats to the reef such as pollution, over-fishing and contaminated run off from poor land use practices. It also draws attention to the animals and plants that make up marine ecosystems. The exhibit runs until January twenty-fourth every Monday to Saturday from nine a.m. to four p.m. at the Archaeology Museum in Belmopan.
