Belize Network of NGOs Names New Board of Directors
The Belize Network of N.G.O.s has named a new Board of Directors, one week after it was officially incorporated under the Companies Act. Doctor Elma Kay, Managing Director of the Belize Maya Forest Trust has been named chairperson of the board. Sheena Zuniga, President of the National Garifuna Council, has been named Vice President of the board. Charrice Talbert, the Co-founder and Program Manager for PETAL, is secretary of the board, while Roberto Lopez, the National Scout Executive of the Scout Association of Belize has been named Treasurer. Ivorine Bulwer, Executive Director of HelpAge Belize has been named the Media Relations Officer, while Janelle Chanona, Vice President for Oceana Belize, remains the Belize Network of N.G.O.s Senator. A release from B.N.N. says each member of the board was duly elected by B.N.N.’s membership. The new Board of Directors will serve from 2022 to 2024. The release says the board will render critical support to the N.G.O. Senator.
