Peppers Pizza provides treat to special people
This Sunday Peppers Pizza will be hosting three hundred special people of Belize City for a Christmas treat filled with pizzas, sandwiches, soft drinks and party favors. Santa Claus and a clown with magic balloons will also be there. Stephen Roberts owner of Peppers Pizza told us more about the event.
Stephen Roberts, Owner, Peppers Pizza
“My wife and I are hosting special people of Belize City. This is made possible through the Honorable Minister Jorge Espat of National Security and Immigration. We decided just a short while ago, it would be wonderful to provide for our special members of society. That’s why it’s a quick upcoming event. It’s not really open to the public. We just want to make our members of society aware that here we have a wonderful system that is working. Taking care of the handicapped, the blind, the deaf and the challenged. These are members of society that are not in our face everyday. Because they are not in our face everyday that means they have good caretakers and teachers and this is a tribute not only for special members but caretakers.”
The private sector is also playing a big role in the event. Roberts says that he would like each person with special needs to know that there are people who really care for them. This event would not be possible without the effort of members of the Belize Defense Force and the Police Force. The Christmas event for special individuals of Belize City will be held from ten in the morning until one in the afternoon at Stella Maris School on Princess Margaret Drive.
