Holy Redeemer School holds Christmas show
‘Tis the season to be jolly and that is exactly what the students and teachers are planning for you tomorrow night at the Parish Hall. The big presentation is called, “Twinkle, Twinkle and the all star Angel Band”. News Five stopped by for a dress rehearsal for this big event.
Valerie Lovell, Choir Leader
“It’s a take off of the “Twinkle, twinkle Little Star” song. Then it involves singing, drama and you name it.”
Jesusita Gongora, Coordinator, Christmas Show
“Most children are not exposed to this kind of event. We are hoping that one, they enjoy it and two, most Belizeans are shy so at least this will expose them to this type of event.”
Apart from all the entertainment, the teachers are concerned about the state of the school’s computer lab. Proceeds from Thursday’s show will go towards purchasing new computers.
Jesusita Gongora
“Well last year we started with this computer program. We only have four of them that are working. It is difficult for us to take between thirty-six to forty pupils on the computer working. So we are appealing to the public to please come and support us because the money that we generate will be used for buying more computers.”
The event gets underway at seven p.m. and tickets cost five dollars.
