Israel Chable is Knocked Down and Killed. Was it Intentional?

A resident of Orange Walk District lost his life over the weekend when he was reportedly knocked down by a motorist along the stretch of road near San Jose Village.  We say reportedly because police are investigating another angle to this tragic incident.  Israel Chable was unresponsive when he was discovered on Saturday morning.  By the time he was rushed to the Northern Regional Hospital, he had succumbed to his injuries.  Investigators believe, however, that foul play may have played a role on Chable’s demise.  Assistant Superintendent Alfonso Aban explains.

“On Saturday, August sixth, at 5:30 a.m., Orange Walk police were called [about] a male person seen on the road in San Jose Village where they saw one Israel Chable who received several injuries to the body.  He was transported to the Orange Walk hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.”

“What’s the police investigation saying so far in regards to if it was indeed intentional?”

“So far, the police are still investigating and the injuries received do not appear to be that of a road traffic accident.”

“Can you say if it was blunt force trauma, if he was shot or anything like that?”

“He had several injuries to the body and police are still investigating that matter.”
