Belmopan City Council’s Audit Will Be Complete in a Few Weeks’ Time

Palacio has come under heat before from her councilors who have accused her of misappropriating funds and of not being transparent and accountable. But the mayor insists that it’s because the councilors have not gone in to sit down and discussed the matter with her. They’ve also indicated that the council has not put out a financial report. But Palacio told News Five today that it’s because the auditing of the past several years, including the first seventeen months of her administration, is being done and will be complete within the next few weeks.
