Another Chinese shop owner injured by robbers

Only twenty-four hours after a Chinese businessman was hit in the head by armed robbers at his shop on Hyde’s Lane, another shopkeeper was attacked at his establishment on Racecourse Street. Yang Yu Quan told police around nine last night two youths came into the shop and demanded money. One of the robbers fired a shot hitting Quan in his arm. They then fled the scene without taking anything. Police are investigating the incident. In related news, police have detained George McKenzie, popularly known as “Junie Balls” for questioning in connection with the assault and robbery on Hyde’s Lane on Monday night.
