Fire Guts House in Dangriga, Fire Officials Investigate Cause

A wooden structure was also destroyed by fire between twelve and one this morning in Dangriga. The house, located in the New Site area, was reportedly occupied by a man who was not there every day. And neighbors did not see him go home prior to the blaze. National Fire Service Station Supervisor, Kenneth Mortis shared earlier today that they are still in the preliminary phase of the investigation.

“The Dangriga Fire Department responded to a structural fire in the New Site area, Ramos Road, where they observed the wooden bungalow structure engulfed in flames. That fire was extinguished. While the information was a bit sketchy, we learned that no one occupied the structure at the time, even though it was registered to a teacher, Ms Nadine. We learned that that fire started as a result of electrical fault, however for further confirmation, the team is still on the ground trying to confirm what led the house fire to be an electrical flaw.”
