Armed Robbery in Belize City

Three men were the victims of an armed robbery on Saturday night in Belize City. Darwin Henderson reported to police that around ten-thirty p.m., he was on Baracat Street with his son and another person when they were accosted by two men; one brandished a firearm. The trio was searched and robbed of an undisclosed amount of money, cell phones and other personal items. A.S.P. Fitzroy Yearwood told the media that the police are soon to make an arrest for this incident.

“He was on Baracat Street at a residence speaking to one of his sons on a veranda when he heard his son shout out, bwai weh di go on with unu. He turned around quickly and saw two men fast approaching with what appeared to be a nine-millimetre pistol. He is saying that the man with the pistol instructed his accomplice to search them and take everything that they had. This was done and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken away from him and his son.”
