American National Dies in Traffic Accident on Hummingbird Highway
An American national lost his life as a result of injuries he sustained in a road traffic accident on Wednesday evening. According to police, forty-eight-year-old Steven Savarda was driving a black Audi S.U.V. with California plates along the Hummingbird Highway when he lost control of the vehicle and collided into a concrete culvert near the National Agriculture and Trade Show Ground in Belmopan. He was trapped inside the mangled vehicle until first responders were able get him out. Savarda’s lifeless body was extricated from the vehicle and transported to the Western Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Records show that Savarda entered the country in his vehicle on August seventeenth. He was scheduled to leave by September sixteenth. Police reportedly secured all his property from the vehicle. An investigation continues.
