Team Kareem Defeats Team Chester in Basketball Tournament

Over the weekend, a basketball tournament was held by the Ministry of Home Affairs that brought together young men from various parts of the city, as well as well-known media personalities across radio and television. The event pitted a team led by Minister Kareem Musa against a team led by Commissioner of Police Chester Williams. The ComPol could not attend the tournament for personal reasons but told the media, nonetheless, that it was a success.

“The event went well and it was all done with the view of making sure that we get the younger people and in particular those young men who were involved in the street feuds to come together and have fun with us, all in the spirit of peace.  And I notice that Team Kareem took advantage because I was not there. If I were there I am certain that Team Kareem would not have won.  I am the Michael Jordan to my team, but I was not there. So they won and I believe that it was all done in good spirit. We had ministers participating. Other than Minister Musa, we had other ministers participating there.”
