Driver arrested for traffic fatality
An arrest has been made in a fatal traffic accident over the weekend which killed a man on a bicycle and injured his companion. Police have charged a mechanic William Usher from San Antonio Road, Punta Gorda with manslaughter by negligence and causing death by careless conduct. Usher’s white van reportedly knocked down Juan Choc and Samuel Canti, farmers of Forest Home on Sunday. The accident occurred between miles eleven and twelve on the Southern Highway.
