“Fats” is Remanded for St. Thomas Street Home Invasion

Twenty-nine-year-old Stephen Barrington Flowers, a resident of Majestic Alley, has been charged with aggravated burglary, following an incident at the home of Basil Gordon on Saint Thomas Street on Sunday. Flowers is accused of participating in a home invasion that netted thieves almost four thousand dollars in cash and several other personal items belonging to Gordon.  Fats, as Flowers is otherwise known, appeared unrepresented before the lower court today where he was read a single charge in connection with the break-in. In a statement given by Gordon, he was at home on September eighteenth when three male persons entered the residence, including Flowers who was armed with a handgun.  The intruders demanded money and other belongings from Gordon and two other persons who were present at the time.  Due to the nature of the offense, Flowers was informed by the Senior Magistrate that bail could not be granted until after three months. He has since been remanded to the Belize Central Prison until November 25th, 2022.
