Bar Association of Belize elects new president
The Bar Association of Belize had elections last night; one of the main issues in the Bar’s meeting was the election of a president to succeed Jackie Marshalleck who headed the Bar since March of 2007. The new president of the exclusive club of attorneys is Aldo Salazar. Until recently, Salazar was the former Registrar General of the General Registry of the Supreme Court. He has also worked at various laws firms such as Young’s Law Firm, Glenn D. Godfrey and Co. and Shoman & Chebat.
