Fire Destroys Home in Rockville
And while Mortis was speaking with News Five, a team of firemen was deployed to Rockville at mile twenty-one on the George Price Highway where a concrete house was on fire. He gave us preliminary details of the fire.
Kenneth Mortis, Station Supervisor, National Fire Service
“This information has just been received to us as we speak. Like you mentioned, I have a truck at four team members. We received a call from the police of a structural fire in Rockville which sits approximately twenty one miles on the Western Highway. We will await confirmation of such and I will definitely give you a feed back as soon as the information trickles down.”
We later learnt that a concrete building was completely destroyed by the blaze. Reports are that no one was at home prior to the fire. Investigators have concluded that this fire is as a result of an electrical flaw. The occupants of this were allegedly accessing direct current from B.E.L.’s pole.
