A Suspect has been Charged in the Murder of Bernard Timmons
An Orange Walk resident who has been charged for murder twice, in separate incidents, has been charged for the chopping death of librarian Bernard Timmons. The incident took place on Independence Day in Orange Walk Town, following the carnival road march. It is reported that Timmons, a resident of Neal’s Pen Road in Belize City, got into an altercation with a pair of men near a shop. He was chopped in the neck a short while later while waiting for a relative in an alley off the Belize Corozal Road.

“Nimrod Tillett was charged on Friday evening, I sent the information to you on Saturday morning. Yes, he was the only person charged in connection with the death of Mr. Timmons that took place in Orange Walk on Independence Day.”

“I know initially you had said that there was some type of argument between them, I know you used the word fight, but the family has said that maybe it was just hard talking. But what might have led to whatever altercation that they had?”
Fitzroy Yearwood
“Like I said, the details of that will come out in court. He has since been charged.”
