More questions about dead infant

It’s a story that has been in the news for almost a week now and the more details that emerge, the more questions arise about the chilling discovery of a dead baby at the city dump. Perhaps the break that police were looking for came today, when they found the mother whose name was on the tag on the baby girl’s arm. Although police have not released her name or description, the young woman has admitted to police that she did give birth in mid September and that her baby had died. The grieving mother told investigators that she did not have money to pay for her child’s burial and that she left the body at the hospital. The question remains however: if that baby, delivered on the seventeenth of September, is the same child, how did it end up among smelly garbage at the dumpsite and not six feet under the ground at the cemetery? Police say there are no records at the morgue to indicate that the dead baby was ever released and that they cannot be sure that the baby at the dump site belongs to the woman who was taken in for questioning today. A blood test was ordered this evening to determine if there is a match between the woman and the infant. But even if there is a match, who took the baby out of the morgue and put it in the trash? And in another strange twist to an already bizarre story we note that last week, police told News Five that the autopsy did not reveal that the baby found at the dumpsite ever took a single breath. The baby delivered on the seventeenth of September, on the other hand, is reported to have lived for eleven hours.
