Broadcasting Authority named

The Ministry of Tourism and Broadcasting has announced the names of members of the Belize Broadcasting Authority. The list is led by Chairman Philip Zuniga and includes Silvana Woods, Jimmy Johnson, Frank Arzu, Pauline Rodriguez Romero and Father Noel Leslie along with ex-officio members Clifford Slusher and Marian McNab. The B.B.A. is the body which licenses and regulates the nation’s television and radio stations. Some of the issues it will face during it’s term of office will be the increasing demand for radio and TV frequencies along with the potentially radical impact of impending copyright legislation on the broadcasting industry.
