Two Roaring Creek Men are Charged for Aggravated Assault

Today, police formally arrested and charged two Roaring Creek men for the crimes of robbery and aggravated assault. Nineteen-year-old Jahirm Thomas and twenty-two-year-old Derry Bennett were slapped with two counts of robbery and a single charge of aggravated assault on forty-four-year-old Jose Arnoldo Garcia, a Belizean Farmer of Armenia Village, Cayo District.

The charges stem from a report made last Thursday, October thirteenth by Garcia who reported to police that when returning from his farm which is located on the Hummingbird Highway, he was held up at gunpoint and robbed of his beach cruiser bicycle and his sixteen-gauge shotgun.
