Teen Stabbed in Caye Caulker; 1 Person Charged for Attempted Murder

A Caye Caulker resident is in a critical, but stable condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after he was stabbed during an altercation on the island last Thursday. Rafael Marin was discovered on Avenida Langosta Street suffering from a stab wound to his lower abdomen. Investigation revealed that at about ten p.m., the nineteen-year-old was involved in a dispute with a known individual which led to Marin being stabbed. Fernando Allen has since been charged with attempted murder and use of deadly means of harm.

“Marin was involved in an altercation with another person on the island. The stab was inflicted apparently by a guy Fernando Allen who has sicne been charged for attempted murder and use of deadly means of harm. Presently Marin is in the hospital in a critical but stable condition.”
