Thieves Attempt to Break Into B.H.S.
The Belize High School has been getting some unwanted attention. Thieves attempted to break into an office on the high school’s compound. This incident happened over the weekend. Fortunately, they did not make off with anything, because they were unsuccessful in gaining access. Administrators returned to school on Monday to a vandalized burglar barred door. Earlier today we spoke with Jaime Usher the Principal at the high school who told us more.
Jaime Usher, Principal, B.H.S.
“There is always a group of people that looks at us as Belizean men and women living and they determine that what you have and what you have worked for should be theirs. So, I commensurate with anybody who has ever had a home invasion or robbery in their home, because that kind of violation for your space really, there is no words to describe that somebody rummage through your things and take your valuables. So, with that context, when they tried to break in, we want to shout out Romero’s Welding, because their security door did not allow them in. So, the benefit of the investment in a door really saved our school community whatever vandalism or robbery would have occurred.”
