Man killed in Western Highway knockdown
A traffic accident on the Western Highway on Wednesday night has claimed the life of a Belize City man. Forty six year old Bruce Shaw was knocked down and killed as he walked on the road between miles seven and eight, shortly after seven o’clock last night. According to police, the driver of the truck, thirty-nine year old Elmer Kornelsen of Spanish Lookout, told them that he was going west toward Belmopan when he ran into Shaw, who is reported to have died on the spot. So far no charges have been brought against Kornelsen as police investigations continue.
