Important note for non-Belizean viewers

A note of explanation to non-Belizean viewers:

Because our Internet newscast is a text version of our TV broadcast we sometimes forget that not all viewers are acquainted with Belizean holidays. So while our local audience was aware that last Thursday and Friday were public holidays and hence there was no newscast, foreign Internet users, who were expecting two days of news, felt short changed. We apologize for the failure to keep you informed and in the future we will announce all holidays on the newscast preceding that date. Otherwise the Internet version of the evening news on Channel Five should be posted by 11:00 p.m. EST (9:00 p.m. Belize time) each weeknight.
