Police search for murder suspect
In crime news, the police are no closer to laying hands on accused murderer Ovidio Godoy, but they at least think they know where he’s headed. The twenty-eight year old man is accused of chopping to death his live-in girlfriend, twenty-three year old Ciriarca Varela, early Monday morning. The two had apparently been drinking with friends at their home at mile six and a half on the Northern Highway, when Godoy turned fatally violent. Police believe that Godoy may be making his way north to his home village of Trial Farm in the Orange Walk District. Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to contact the nearest police station.
