“Boots” says a reluctant no to racism
And while we were talking to Boots, we couldn’t help but ask for his comments on the subject of racism which has surfaced late in the campaign, compliments of fellow standard bearer, Hubert Elrington. While Boots obviously didn’t want the issue to intrude on his campaign, he did manage a better explanation than other politicians we know.
Anthony “Boots” Martinez, U.D.P., Port Loyola
“I didn’t hear the interview so I don’t want to preempt nothing and pass no comment on it. But I have nothing to say on that cause I didn’t hear it so I wish to refrain from dealing with that situation.
I know that in Port Loyola we are not prejudice and we will come across the vote and we will do the best for residents of Port Loyola.”
Minister of Housing Hubert Elrington was scheduled to speak at this afternoon’s ceremonies in Port Loyola but by five o’clock, two and a half hours after the event was supposed to begin, he still hadn’t showed.
