Police Investigate a Possible Drug Angle in Triple Homicide
Senior Superintendent Hilberto Romero, along with Commissioner of Police Chester Williams, was on the scene this morning. Investigators were canvassing the area and speaking with residents to get a clearer picture of what may have taken place overnight. The Officer Commanding Eastern Division told the media earlier today that while the motive may have been drug-related, several persons of interest are being observed.

“On Thursday, the seventeenth of November, 2022, around 10:45 p.m., police responded to the New Site area in Sand Hill Village where there were reports that shots were heard. Police visited the house where they found the lifeless bodies of three male persons. They were later identified as Emerson Garcia, forty-three years old, Jareem Davis, twenty years and Charleston Davis, nineteen years of age. They were observed with gunshot injuries to the body and they were taken to the KHMH where they were pronounced dead on arrival. An investigation is being carried out into this triple murder at this time.”

“Any idea of what may have precipitated this deadly attack?”

“Okay, we are gathering information at this time and we have leads that we are following up on and so later on we will try to establish a conclusive motive [as to] what caused these three murders.”

“We’ve received reports that that home was known as a place where marijuana was sold. Are you able to say whether or not…”
Hilberto Romero
“Yes, we can confirm that that is so, that marijuana use to be sold from that house. Correct.”

“Given that angle, do you believe that it may have been drug-related?”

“Yes, that is a possibility, yes.”
Reporter
“Is there any possibility, sir, that this could have been retaliation for any other recent murders?”
Hilberto Romero
“Not that we know of that this time. We cannot link this to any other case at this time. “

“Do you guys have any persons that you are looking for at this time?”
Hilberto Romero
“Yes, we have several persons of interest and we are conducting interviews, investigations and so we continue with the investigations today.”
