Gideon Ishim Perishes Succumbs to Injuries After Falling Out of a Pickup Truck

There was a fatal road traffic accident recorded down south over the weekend when a passenger fell out of the back of a pickup truck while traveling along the Southern Highway.  According to Senior Superintendent Hilberto Romero, twenty-six-year-old Gideon Ishim was seated in the pan of a pickup truck when he fell out in the vicinity of Santa Cruz Village, Stann Creek District.

“On Saturday, November nineteenth, police responded to a fatal traffic accident at Santa Cruz Village.  Upon their arrival, they learned that Gideon Ishim, twenty-six-years-old, fell from the back of a pickup truck.  He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.  An investigation has been carried out and an NIP has been served on the driver of the pickup pending further investigation at this time. The driver of that vehicle is liable and it is illegal to carry passengers in the back of pickups.  That is illegal.  That is not authorized, a vehicle that is authorized to take passengers.”
