Hattieville inmate dies in cell
An inmate at Hattieville Prison has died. The body of Raphael Bermudez, a thirty-four year old Nicaraguan, was found lying in his cell on Wednesday morning. A guard reported that at a cell check around seven thirty a.m. Bermudez was found to be fine but a subsequent visit at eleven fifty found him to be dead on the floor. The body was transported to the K.H.M.H. morgue where it awaits a postmortem. Bermudez had been on remand on a charge of illegal entry. Police are investigating.
