Mentally Ill Patient Left Homeless Following House Fire
A wooden structure was completely destroyed by fire this afternoon on St. Joseph Street in Belize City. The fire began around two-thirty and quickly engulfed the home. By the time fire fighters arrived on the scene, the home was already in ruins. However, they were able to prevent the fire from spreading across to neighbouring homes. We spoke with Darlene Murphy who lives next door to the destroyed property. She informed us that her mentally ill brother occupied the home and that this is not the first fire inside the home.
