Devon Jones Receives Suspended Sentence for 2014 Incident
Forty-one-year-old Devon Jones, who pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of use of deadly means of harm after he used his vehicle and ran it into Francis Gill and crushing him, has been imposed a three-year suspended sentence for the crime he committed. Gill, who later lost his leg as a result of the incident, was shot and killed several years later. Nonetheless, the matter was heard before the Supreme Court. Justice Ricardo O’Neil Sandcroft fined Jones four thousand dollars and ordered him to attend two years of anger management sessions with the Community Rehabilitation Department. Jones has been given until the end of December of this year to pay his fine.
