Knockdown on Western Highway kills teenage girl
Another fatal accident, this time on the Western Highway, has claimed the life of a teenage girl. As we reported on Friday’s newscast, two children were knocked down as they rode on a single bicycle in the village of Camalote around four thirty Friday evening. Fifteen year old Nadine Casey was pronounced dead on arrival at the Belmopan Hospital, while five year old Jerome Belisle was hospitalized at the Karl Heusner Memorial in critical condition. Police have since arrested and charged thirty-two year old B.T.L. technician Bernard Aguet with the crimes of manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct and driving without due care and attention. Immediately after the accident it was Aguet who drove the two victims to the Belmopan Hospital.
