Off duty policeman arrested in shooting

In other crime news, Belize City police have arrested and charged one of their own in connection with a shooting incident late Thursday night at a popular night-club on the Western Highway. P.C. Eddison Castillo is charged with the crimes of wounding and the use of deadly means of harm. The charges result from a fight Castillo was involved in around eleven forty-five last night. Twenty-two year old disc jockey Marvin Skeen Jr. told police that he and his brother were socializing at the Almond Hill Club when three men approached them and an argument started. Police say that during the altercation Skeen was shot on the middle finger of his left hand with what police say was not the officer’s official weapon. Police also note that Castillo was off-duty at the time of the incident.
